Award winning koi from Cuttlebrook

During the course of 2010, koi bred at Cuttlebrook Koi Farm have been winning awards at koi shows around the country.

The awards success also underlines the fact that if you are interested in buying top grade koi, Cuttlebrook Koi Farm is definitely the place to go.
Twenty two of the awards won this year were at the National alone and included the prestigious Baby Champion, owned by Martin Barnett. This fantastic result was notable not just because the award was won by a British bred koi, but also because the koi in question was a size one koi and so was up against stiff competition from a good number of much larger size two fish.
The fact that the judges chose to award this top prize to a Shiro Utsuri rather than the usual Go-Sanke, just goes to underline the exceptionally high quality of the Shiro Utsuri that Cuttlebrook Koi Farm are producing.
It’s not just our Shiro Utsuri that are winning awards either – Cuttlebrook Koi were in six different variety categories!
The success at the National follows on from previous notable awards won in 2010 with Cuttlebrook bred koi including Baby Champion at the East Midlands Winter Koi Show, won with a Showa owned by Dave Pope, and Young Adult Champion at the Worthing Koi Show awarded to a Shiro Utsuri owned by Steve and Angie Watson. Well done to all those happy winners!
With summer drawing to a close and autumn fast approaching, Cuttlebrook Koi Farm are preparing for the busiest sales day of the year – the Autumn Harvest Day on September 26. Early in September, all koi that are Nisai and older will be harvested from the mud ponds and the vast majority will be available for sale from 10.00am onwards on September 26. The remainder will be released as and when space becomes available in the sales tanks, so if you can’t make it on the Autumn Harvest Day, don’t despair as you can make an appointment to visit Cuttlebrook Koi Farm at any time throughout the year.
